Grainger Trust plc have featured two projects within their latest Annual Report - their Intranet, The Source, that we helped them launch internally over the summer and 'The Balancing Act', a programme delivered electronically built using the balanced scorecard concept and integrated with models of best practice for property managers. In conjunction with The Business Improvement Network (BIN), we conducted an online survey of over 1500 BIN members in late 2005 to identify the key areas of challenge and focus for the membership, comprising quality professionals - mainly in-house - in the UK and Ireland).
Over a period of 3 weeks, 200 respondents gave their views on topics as diverse as 'financial resource management'; and 'developing vision and strategy'. The results show that the most significant issue for the network members relates to 'building the people-capability for excellence', attracting the largest number of responses and the highest significance weighting.
